Buying a home in Florida - things to know.

Why are homes in other communities on such small lots?

Most homes in Florida are built on very small lots (0.25 to 0.33 acres) . Buildings sit ten to fifteen feet from each other.  You have very little outdoor space with very little privacy. 

Why doesn't Long Lake have upfront costs and equity membership?

Most gated club communities require you to pay upfront equity membership.  Ranges can be from $30,000 to $100,000, NOT refundable.  Long Lake does not have a club community but this property offers you a very large deep water pool which is not standard in newer communities along with a soccer-field-size, manicured yard.

What about resale?
